Registration
Registration Open 6:00am, Close 15 min before race start
- Pre-Reg Online at BikeReg.com
until May 7th 11:45PM EST Pre-Reg closes when fields
fill. NO REFUNDS.
- Add $7 for late registration. FIELD SIZES ARE LOW.
- Due to parking restrictions, it is not possible to add additional fields.
- Note: Sorry, no Cat 5 fields
- Champions' Discount: Champions are to register
and pay normal entry fees up front. Current NorCal/Nevada District
Road Champions and National Road Champions will receive a refund
race-day at the registration desk of all but $3 + BikeReg fee if:
(1) Your entry is received by the pre-registration deadline above
(otherwise pay full entry plus late fee) and; (2) You ride in the
category in which you are champion (Master Champions may ride down
in age, and Juniors may ride up.) District jersey is not required.
Directions
- START Same as last year: East San Pablo Reservoir Boat Launch.
- From Orinda (Hwy 24), 2.4 miles north/west (towards Richmond)
on Camino Pablo to the San Pablo Reservoir Boat Launch (not the
Recreation Area); enter at Boat Launch sign and follow the lakefront
road north 1.5 miles, past guard gate to parking lots. From I-80,
San Pablo Dam Road exit, 8.9 miles south/east (towards Orinda) to
Boat Launch as above.
- Parking is limited, carpooling is advised.
- NO PARKING ON THE COURSE OR NEAR THE FINISH LINE.
Course Description
- Traditional loop (approx. 19 miles): San Pablo Dam, Castro Ranch,
Alhambra Valley, and Bear Creek Roads, clockwise. Pavement good
to fair.
- Start: Short promenade up service
road from inside parking area, directly onto, and then a short distance
on San Pablo Dam Road.
- Finish: Top of the second long climb
on Bear Creek Road (Papa Bear)
- Please stay clear of the finish area for the safety of those still
racing. Finishers will be ushered away from the finish and towards
the parking area. Riders will be DQ'd after first warning
to move on. Beware of fields which are still racing as
you proceed to the parking area.
- Feed Zone: Approximately 1 km before
finish on Papa Bear climb. Parking at feed zone will be limited
to use by feed zone participants only. Neutral feed (water bottles) provided after first lap
- No road closure, watch for traffic and road hazards, and use caution.
Unauthorized follow vehicles will result in rider/team DQ.
- NO WARMING UP ON THE COURSE.
Wheel Support
We will try to offer wheel support for most fields. Teams may
be limited to two sets of wheels per follow car. Wheel support will
be wheels-in-wheels-out. Follow cars may go with any significant
split of the field. SAG support will be available to riders behind
the main field.
